Founded in 1922 by Max and Clara Fortunoff in Brooklyn, New York, Fortunoff has developed a widely recognized and trusted brand noted for quality, selection, service and value. With a truly unique offering combining jewelry and home furnishings, outdoor furniture, bed and bath, tabletop and gifts, Fortunoff reached sales of close to $500 million and established a strong position in some of the most competitive retail markets in the U.S.  From engagement, through marriage and into the creation of the home, Fortunoff strives to become an integral part of its customers' daily lives.

The Fortunoff and Mayrock families have re-acquired the Fortunoff brand and intellectual property.

Fortunoff Backyard Stores selling Outdoor Living products and seasonal trim-a-tree are open in the tri-state area under a license to Furniture Concepts, a new company started by former Fortunoff executives who had responsibility for Outdoor Furniture.
